Chester armchair

The Chester Armchair by Poltrona Frau is a timeless piece with soft padding, designed by Renzo Frau. Inspired by the Chesterfield sofas and armchairs found in London’s most exclusive clubs before the Great War, Renzo Frau recognized the potential of these iconic pieces. In 1912, he began importing the original models to Italy, and soon after, he made significant modifications to produce his own version — the Chester armchair. To this day, the Chester armchair is handcrafted with the same meticulous attention to detail, embodying more than a century of tradition and craftsmanship.
